Pekanbaru, April (Antarariau.com) - The Riau branch of the state energy company Pertamina said the number of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in 3-kg canister grows 14 percent annually on the average in the province.
"In the first three months of this year, everyday, the number of LPG in 3-kg canister used by consumers was 14 percent higher than last year," Sales Executive of Pertamina for Riau Mahfud Nadyo said here on Monday.
Mahfud Nadyo said last year there were 122,000 units of 3-kg canisters used everyday in Riau. The number rose to 138.500 units in the first three months of 2017.
He said there are number of factors causing the relatively large number of LPG in Riau including growing population and expansion of small and medium enterprises.
"Demand for 3-kg LPG , therefore, has increased from year to year, and supplies are relatively sufficient in the province," he said.
