Dumai, Riau, May 13 (ANTARA) - Scores of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia were shocked by rumors that their country is in war with Malaysia.
The rumor for the first time came from a migrant worker (TKI) named Mami (46) when meeting ANTARA at Dumai port Wednesday afternoon.
The woman, which has three children, who hailed from Tebing Tinggi, North Ssumatra, said she came home to find out about the situation at home.
"I got the rumor about a war from a fellow TKI in Malaysia. She said Indonesian troops were ready for war," she said.
She also said that not only herself, but scores of fellow migrant workers also came home for see what was really happening at home.
There were 20 of us on the same boat going home, she said.
